Although my little car won't be leaving the driveway anytime soon, it doesn't look like we're in a state of emergency to Savannah and I...just a magical wonderland. Gresham was declared to be in a state of emergency yesterday, but since David's truck is chained up on all 4's, he's getting to and from the plant okay. If you see him later this week, though, for all the Christmas festivities and he has toothpicks propping his eyes open, you'll know why...it's been a harrowing week for him at the plant. How does one manage this kind of snow in Troutdale anyway? On the other hand Savannah and I have been at home for days and have been in our glory...
Frosty now looks a bit iced over...sure glad we gave him that scarf and hat...
Although we finally have enough snow to put Arnold's antique sled to use, we haven't been sledding...I'd have to spring for some snow boots for me first...
Smores anyone? The firepit looks like a giant marshmallow...
I think that it's safe to say we won't be grilling for a while...
With the patio door open...you're looking at a drift where the patio once was...
Dad said that the geese were circling the pond but not landing...here a snapshot of a few I caught in flight over our house yesterday.
Doesn't look like they will be using our birdbath any time soon either...
When I went out to take a few pics, I realized that I had had visitors on the front porch who were too small to ring the doorbell...
There were actually bird prints on the doorsill too, right at the base of the side window light. I can't imagine that they were looking in to let me know that they wanted a bath, but they probably were cold and hungry. I'm comforted to know that God has promised to take care of them!
Hooray! Welcome to blogland! And thanks for sharing your snow photos...now you don't seem *quite* so far away.
